The average high in January in Nashville is 46°. So far the high today has been 45°. There's nothing strange about that, except the fact that it's April. The average high for this time of year is 69°, and we won't touch that for a few days.
Proof that it's cold for this time of year: There is a chance of some sleet and snow mixing with the rain, and I believe even a chance here in the basin of it changing to all snow for a time overnight (or even this evening). If it does happen, it will be the fourth April in six years that I remember snow.
And they still tell me that global warming is real...hmm...
